Overview:

This is a higher-level position in research and development where employees demonstrate the ability to work closely with the Procurement regional team, global and regional Operational Innovation (OI) teams, and other departments to identify, prioritize, and execute savings and resilience projects.

Main Responsibilities:

• Lead savings projects from identification through completion, including system upgrades.
• Create and maintain a comprehensive plan encompassing all savings needs, projects, and opportunities brought by stakeholders such as procurement, marketing, and process engineering.
• Prioritize projects in accordance with Procurement.
• Ensure on-time and full (OTIF) execution of project plans.
• Engage external or ad-hoc resources, such as other researchers and Supply Chain partners.
• Report the progress and outputs of plan execution.
• Execute laboratory, plant, and industrial trials as necessary for validating savings, resilience, and continuous improvement projects.

Minimum Attributes Required:

• Command of the classes and characteristics of raw materials and formulation techniques.
• Application knowledge, including troubleshooting and opportunities for improvement and/or new developments.
• Solid knowledge of common computer systems, including the Office suite and common ERP and CRM systems.
• Ability to solve complex problems.
• Proficiency in English and intermediate Spanish.
• Expertise in the use of project management tools.

 Additional Responsibilities:

• Act as the LAOI spokesperson for the region.
• Comply with laboratory processes, including safety, 5S, and Quality programs and policies.

Background and Professional Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry/Engineering with a Ph.D. and a minimum of five years of experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry/Engineering with a master’s degree and a minimum of five years of significant technical experience in the technical field.
• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry/Engineering with more than ten years of significant technical experience in the technical field.
