Overview:

The Latin America Research, Development, and Engineering Program Leader (RD&E Program Leader) will play a major role in leading a multifunctional, multiregional team. This role involves developing and deploying innovations, and leading the execution of high-impact, high-value initiatives. The responsibilities include identifying, prioritizing, and executing savings, continuous improvement, and resilience projects.

This high-level position in research and development requires an employee who demonstrates the ability to work closely with the regional Procurement team, global and regional Operational Innovation (OI) teams, as well as divisional R&D teams.

Role and responsibilities:

• Deliver expertise in managing savings projects from identification through completion, including system upgrades.
• Create and maintain a comprehensive plan that encompasses all savings needs, projects, and opportunities identified by stakeholders such as procurement, marketing, and process engineering.
• Ensure all savings initiatives are prioritized in accordance with procurement guidelines.
• Guarantee the team delivers on-time and in-full (OTIF) execution of projects.
• Lead a highly qualified, diverse team of Operational Innovation researchers who independently manage all aspects of savings and resilience projects with a hands-on approach.
• Build impactful relationships with global innovation partners, both within the company and with external customers.
• Influence the global technical team across the company to ensure strong internal collaborations and deliver the innovation plan.
• Leverage the global structure to quickly diagnose and resolve technical issues with customers.
• Support the global development of new technology and the process of obtaining patents.
• Clearly communicate all project results through written and verbal technical reports to internal and customer-facing stakeholders.
• Represent the company at industry events and publications, including giving oral presentations at conferences.
• Maintain all RD&E activities under high standard health and safety requirements.
• Demonstrate personal skills such as courtesy, empathy, and cooperative behavior when interacting with customers, direct reports, and company stakeholders.
• Provide feedback and input for all RD&E staff in collaboration with the R&D Director.
• Build a strong cross-functional communication plan to facilitate problem-solving and decision-making.
• Achieve strong cross-functional communication by establishing working relationships throughout the organization.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in science or business-related field
• 5 years of R&D management experience
• Minimum of 10 years of related work experience
• Microsoft Office Suite proficiency required
• Post-graduation is desirable; Master’s degree in science or business-related field/ Doctored are considered a plus
• English and Spanish are mandatory
